Mr. Shanno founded alignment CRE in 2025 with years of commercial real estate, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions and investor relations experience. Prior to alignment CRE Ian was with Marcus & Millichap (M&M) in Las Vegas. Prior to entering real estate, Ian ran ALIGNMT, a corporate finance advisory company where he is responsible for all aspects of business development, client success and day to day operations of client project management. ALIGNMT serves founders, CEOs and investors in all aspects of corporate finance applications including Financial Management, Investor Relations, Mergers & Acquisitions and now commercial real estate transactions. The common ground between these applications are financial analysis and asset valuation.
Before ALIGNMT, Ian served as Managing Director at Union Investor Relations, providing leadership, creative development and implementation of financial communications and investor relations programs for publicly traded companies. Prior to Union IR, Ian ran two mergers & acquisitions boutiques providing financial analysis and merger & acquisition advisory services to middle market companies.
Ian’s finance career began in mergers & acquisitions functions at McGladrey Capital Markets and Citigroup Global Markets where he provided M&A and corporate finance advisory services to middle market clients throughout the United States.
Mr. Shanno received a BA in Philosophy from Boston University and an MBA in finance from Pepperdine University.

With over 20 years in the real estate industry and more than $200 million in closed transactions, Bryan Knisley has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor to private capital groups, hedge funds, and high-net-worth investors seeking strategic opportunities in residential and commercial real estate.
Bryan’s career began in 2003, focusing on sourcing, acquiring, and managing investment-grade assets for institutional buyers. He has overseen the acquisition and underwriting of non-performing notes, REO pools, and large single-family rental portfolios, working closely with top U.S. hedge funds, including Colony American Homes, to secure substantial holdings in the Las Vegas market.
In 2010, Bryan co-founded Paragon Asset Management Group, a firm dedicated to acquiring, repositioning, and liquidating distressed assets for investors. Under his leadership, Paragon successfully renovated and sold over 200 properties, demonstrating a keen eye for asset evaluation, value-add strategies, and profitable exits.
Today, Bryan brings this expertise to his partnership with Ian Shanno, Managing Director at Alignment Commercial Real Estate, powered by eXp Commercial. Together, they provide clients with best-in-class service, innovative strategies, and an extensive network of capital partners—helping investors, owners, and developers maximize value in every market cycle.
