Mr. Shanno founded alignment CRE in 2025 with years of commercial real estate, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions and investor relations experience. Prior to alignment CRE Ian was with Marcus & Millichap (M&M) in Las Vegas. Prior to entering real estate, Ian ran ALIGNMT, a corporate finance advisory company where he was responsible for all aspects of business development, client success and day to day operations of client project management. ALIGNMT serves founders, CEOs and investors in all aspects of corporate finance applications including Financial Management, Investor Relations and Mergers & Acquisitions.
Before ALIGNMT, Ian served as Managing Director at Union Investor Relations, providing leadership, creative development and implementation of financial communications and investor relations programs for publicly traded companies. Prior to Union IR, Ian ran two mergers & acquisitions boutiques providing financial analysis and merger & acquisition advisory services to middle market companies.
Ian’s finance career began in mergers & acquisitions functions at McGladrey Capital Markets and Citigroup Global Markets where he provided M&A and corporate finance advisory services to middle market clients throughout the United States.
Mr. Shanno received a BA in Philosophy from Boston University and an MBA in finance from Pepperdine University.
